Wow! It seems like just the other day I was doing Baby C’s newborn pictures and here we are doing a cake smash session already!! Time sure flies…
I first met these twins several years ago – about 5 to be exact! Then our families lost touch, only to find that our kids were in the same gymnastics classes this year. I was thrilled when their mom asked if I could do their 6 year pictures. Today was such a beautiful, non-February like day (80 degrees!). And I loved getting a chance to try out my brand new lens that came in yesterday! These two are so beyond cute. I can’t wait to edit the rest of the pictures.
I am so far behind in blogging that I haven’t gotten Baby C’s newborn pictures up; but today I went out to do her 5 month pictures. I love them so much that I’m blogging the day of a shoot! This might be a first for me! I promise to eventually get her newborn pictures on the blog (there are some on Facebook at least).
Last night when I was surfing around on Pinterest (I just started with the site a week ago, so I’m still at the point that I can sit and look around forever!) I came across some pictures from a blog I had seen ages ago. When I first saw the blog I thought it was adorable; but didn’t give it much other thought. But then last night on Pinterest I saw some pictures of a sleeping baby, holding balloons like she was floating away and I thought I could do something like that for Baby C’s pictures today. I thought about the blue seamless that I had – it would be perfect. I even had a green blanket that would work. I just needed the balloons. So on the way to our shoot this morning I stopped and got balloons and I’m so glad I did. I knew that she wasn’t going to sleep (she doesn’t sleep much – I think she slept for maybe 3 minutes of her newborn shoot!); but I thought that it might even be better if she was awake. I just love how this picture came out!!

After that we did some shots of her just being a happy, happy baby. She thinks her mom is about the funniest thing in the world. I can’t wait to go back for her 8 month pictures!
This little one is the baby brother of the first baby I ever did a birth announcement for. He is such a sweet little baby and I just loved getting a chance to snuggle with him a little!
I met up with these two for some quick pictures in Ohio. They are the kids of a friend who I met while pregnant with my own twins. My son loved getting to hang out with some boys instead of the girls he is normally surrounded by!
This is probably the sweetest, most loving couple I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their love for each other and their baby girl was absolutely heart warming.

As a mom of twins myself, I always get especially excited to shoot families expecting multiples. I remember the excitement and the worry. (will they come early? How will we handle two babies??? Will we ever get sleep again?) My twins are my oldest kids, and I didn’t have maternity pictures done with either of my pregnancies. Oh how I wish I had though, and I wish that I had a picture of us just like this!
OK, I’m playing blog catchup. I should be ashamed of myself for not sharing the cuteness that I have been shooting lately! This little boy was an absolute dream to pose and i really don’t think he could be any cuter!

Here is just one from me sweet newborn session this morning. Olivia was a photographer’s dream baby! Awake, alert and happy some, then sleeping, well, like a baby. Thanks mom and dad for letting me spend the morning with you and letting me capture some wonderful images from this stage in your baby girl’s life!
